Remote Thermostat
*The DigiSmart Remote Thermostat can control the Amana DigiSmart PTAC from anywhere in the room.
*It is powered by 2 AAA batteries included in the kit.
*The thermostat communicates with the PTAC through a two-way encrypted radio frequency (RF) signal.
*PTAC settings can be changed at either the unit or the thermostat. Changes are automatically relayed to the other device within moments.
*The antenna communicates to the Amana DigiSmart suite of devices via an encrypted 2.4 Ghz signal using the 802.15.4 standard.
*For the remote thermostat to opperate, the in-room PTAC must be equipped with a DigiSmart gateway antenna.

The DigiSmart system includes an in-room wireless thermostat and occupancy sensor developed in conjunction with Everex Communications. The in-room PTAC and peripherals are connected with the push of a button. There is no wiring to run or need for an electrician. To complete the system, all of the PTACs in a building can be wirelessly connected to a single hardware interface, Tridium Inc.’s Jace® controller. On the Jace Internet browser-based software, each PTAC can be viewed from a computer to check unit performance, temperature, unit settings, and check for maintenance issues.
